The track winds up the hill
amidst wild apple trees and vines
right to the top of the last knoll:
the austere hamlet
among the cypress trees
rests atop the hill
dressed in olive trees
and yellow bushes.
I feel myself partaking
of the labour of the ancient people
of this gentle land
and I would my work completed
here, in Montebenichi.

Hi Marco and Barbara -

We just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had staying with you last week. We are home now and still talking about how beautiful Montebenichi is and the amazing hospitality we enjoyed. Can't wait to return with friends and family!
