The track winds up the hill
amidst wild apple trees and vines
right to the top of the last knoll:
the austere hamlet
among the cypress trees
rests atop the hill
dressed in olive trees
and yellow bushes.
I feel myself partaking
of the labour of the ancient people
of this gentle land
and I would my work completed
here, in Montebenichi.

We just returned to our home in the US. filled with the fondest memories of our time spent at your Hotel. We will always treasure the feeling of serenity looking out over your hills, that you said spoke to you, we felt the same way. I would also like to thank you for making us feel so welcome and very special. You have a gift for this second career you have chosen. Hope to return soon.
