The track winds up the hill
amidst wild apple trees and vines
right to the top of the last knoll:
the austere hamlet
among the cypress trees
rests atop the hill
dressed in olive trees
and yellow bushes.
I feel myself partaking
of the labour of the ancient people
of this gentle land
and I would my work completed
here, in Montebenichi.

We just wanted to send a brief message to thank you again for your warm hospitality throughout our 5 day stay at your hotel. We had what we could only describe as a perfect trip to Toscana, but our time in Montebenichi was the most memorable. We hope to return soon.
