Chianti hotel

The track winds up the hill
amidst wild apple trees and vines
right to the top of the last knoll:
the austere hamlet
among the cypress trees
rests atop the hill
dressed in olive trees
and yellow bushes.
I feel myself partaking
of the labour of the ancient people
of this gentle land
and I would my work completed
here, in Montebenichi.

Cari Arnaldo e Marco,

vi ringraziamo per aver condiviso questo posto "da favola" con me e mio marito in un momento in cui proprio noi, per la nostra piccola, prossima Maria Vittoria stiamo scrivendo una favola tutta nostra... Quanta inspirazione abbiamo trovato tra queste mura e il paesaggio intorno!!
